A log sheet is where you document each specific business trip. Normally it includes a date of the trip, the destination, and if that is a client or business partner, etc. The kilometres are normally records by stating the km on the odometer before you start driving and the km on the odometer when you return/arrive at the final destination.
The fuel receipts are only proof of fuel expenses, but the logbook will be your proof of actual business travel.
